I hate to admit my age, but I went to Yankee Stadium in October 1963 to see the Yankees play the Dodgers in the 1963 World Series. My ticket to the Yankee Stadium left field bleachers (bought after waiting on line on 161 St. for hours) cost $2(!)

Unfortunately, the Yankees fell to the Dodgers, 4-1. Johnny Podres beat Al Downing. It would be 45 years more before I would finally see the Yankees win a World Series game at Yankee Stadium–in 1998 against the Padres.
